I recently purchased a wall bracket from ER2Us website – www.bracketsuk.com which I am extremely impressed with. I would have no problem recommending this site to friends and family as the bracket purchased I believe to be of extremely high quality. I ordered the item after being given some good advice from one of their customer service agents, the item ordered fitted the TV perfectly. The BT1 bracket had a small spirit level included which made fitting easy and tilted just far enough to let us view our TV perfectly. My TV was an awkward one too as it didn’t have the standard vesa mounting holes however this was no problem for bracketsuk who knew exactly which item to recommend to me to compensate for this. Great company and great item purchased – Thank you!

Review of the tilt able ER2U wall bracket BT1 for a 42″ TV
Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010Where can I find a good value plasma TV bracket for a 50 inch LCD?
Friday, February 26th, 2010I recently hung my 42″ TV on my sitting room wall. After endless searching on the net I called bracketsuk which turned out to be a surprisingly good move. Over the phone the lady I spoke to helped me choose the correct bracket for my needs. Again to my surprise the item arrived the following day as promised. The tilting bracket (which in my case I plummeted for) was a high quality item and for the price I paid was well worth it.
If you fancy taking a look the site address is: www.bracketsuk.com
I have a plasterboard wall, can it support a bracket and TV?
Friday, February 26th, 2010I have recently moved into a new mews house, this obviously has new plasterboard walls. I would like to mount my new Sony 40″ TV onto the wall however I am unsure what bracket type to go for, or if there are any hints or tips I can use when mounting?
Also does any one know what kind of fixings would be needed, or if these come in most bracket packs? Any advice that anyone has for me would be much appreciated as I would like the TV to stay on the wall and not end up on the floor!
Answer:
My advice would be to use a stud finder from a local hard ware store to find the wooden studs in your plasterboard wall. Once these have been found I would mount your bracket to these rather than the actual plasterboard itself.
Finally if I were you with a 40″ TV I would mount to more than one stud to allow the weight of the TV to be spread.
A bracket with a larger back plate would be more suitable such as the following: http://www.bracketsuk.com/c/TV-Brackets-By-Size/33-to-70/p/Tiltable-Wall-Mount-TV-Wall-Bracket-33-to-60—BT1BLK-BT1BLK/
When I bought the above bracket it came with all the fixtures and fittings needed for both the TV and the plasterboard wall.
Which TV Bracket?
Saturday, February 13th, 2010Not sure which TV bracket you need?
There are 2 main questions that could influence your purchasing decision, the first of which we are going to cover here.
Question: What functionality do i require from my TV bracket?
Knowing exactly what you want your TV bracket to do makes a big difference in choosing a TV wall bracket. Do you want it to sit flush? tilt? Swivel left and right? Or maybe you want it to come away from the wall and move to your desired position?
Either way, there are plenty of options available online, a few of which are below.
Flush TV Brackets – http://www.bracketsuk.com/c/TV-Brackets-by-Type/Flush-Fit/
These brackets sit perfectly flush to the wall, they do not move at all. Depending on the cables at the back of your TV, you should have a rough idea of how much clearance you need between the Wall and the TV itself. If not, grab a tape measure and make sure you have an idea before ordering a bracket. There are various different depths of bracket so finding one that’s right for you is not really a problem.
Tilting TV Brackets – http://www.bracketsuk.com/c/TV-Brackets-by-Type/Tilting/
These types of bracket give you the flexibility to tilt your TV up and down for a better viewing angle. This is ideal of you want to put your TV above the fireplace for example. Most tilting brackets available offer a 15 degree tilt up and down, 30 degrees in total.
Cantilever TV Brackets – http://www.bracketsuk.com/c/TV-Brackets-by-Type/Cantilever/
These types of brackets are ideally suited to corner TV installations and installations carried out within a recess on the wall. A Cantilever arm bracket allows you to pull the TV away from the wall (up to 24″) whilst still providing the functionality of a 15 degree tilt, and a 180 degree swivel left and right. Basically, no matter where you are in the room, with a cantilever bracket you will be able to pull the TV round to your desired viewing angle with no hassle at all.
There is also a range of electronic cantilever mounts available online. These provide the same functionality as a normal cantilever bracket, however you will also receive a remote control to do it for you!

What is VESA?
Sunday, February 7th, 2010During your quest to mount your LCD or Plasma TV on the wall, i’m sure you will have heard the term VESA. So, what is VESA?
VESA is the term we use in order to describe the way an LCD or Plasma TV is fitted to a TV Wall Bracket. VESA defines a standard set of mounting holes found in the back of your TV which allows many standard TV brackets to be easily attached and used to secure your TV on the wall.
Practically ALL of the larger suppliers of Plasma and LCD TV’s such as Philips, Sony, Samsung and LG make their TV’s to be VESA compatible. By doing this, it gives you as the customer a much wider selection of TV brackets and TV wall mounts available from many suppliers that are compatible with your TV.
“But how do i tell if my TV is VESA compatible?”
Thankfully, it’s not as complicated as it may sound.
- Turn your TV around, or go behind it so that you can see the back of the TV.
- Starting in the center, look at the back of the TV for 4 mounting holes. Sometimes they are pre-filled with a plug from the manufacturer that can easily be removed.
- There are quite a few possible hole locations which are VESA compatible:
- 50 x 50
- 75 x 75
- 100 x 100
- 200 x 100
- 200 x 200
- 400 x 200
- 400 x 400
- 600 x 400
- 800 x 400
If you are still unsure, it might be worth having a word with a professional TV bracket supplier such as www.bracketsuk.com. They will be able to inform you correctly before you commit to purchasing and TV Brackets that won’t meet your requirements.
